Meet the Artist

Eszter Luca is an artist residing in the beautiful Garden City (Christchurch, New Zealand). Originally from Europe she moved to Nelson, New Zealand in 2004 and has ever since been mesmerised by the natural world and the scenic beauty that can be found all around us. You can usually find her creating art most days, pouring her heart into her canvas to create these artworks for you to treasure for years to come.
 

“I draw on inspiration from colours and details that our world offers. If you look up, you'll notice the beauty all around us; such as the light sparkling between the leaves of a tree as they rustle in the breeze. My works feature New Zealand birds, with a fine art inspired background that has been layered with many thin layers of acrylic paint. The leaves in my work are either painted with gold for a soft shine or I add gold leaf for a more intense glow depending on what look I’m going for”
